Come
see some of Bedford NH’s beautiful gardens….
BEDFORD
NH
– The Bedford Women’s Club is hosting its 1st
annual Garden tour this Saturday, July 11.
The
public is invited to see the beautiful result
of local gardeners' dedication to landscaping and their enthusiasm for their
back yards.
Gardens featured in the tours will be those belonging to friends of the club
and members themselves. With seven stops on the tour map, the collection will
include a sculpture garden designed by John Lasc, a Peace Garden, and a
"Photographer's Garden," created by Club member Madonna Lovett
Repeta.
The back yard of June Scott’s Bedford NH home is one of the several that will
be on display during Saturday’s Garden Tour hosted by the Bedford Women’s Club.
Every
garden will bring a unique element to the tour as visitors walk through paths
of lilies, irises, and perennials - to name a few. For June Scott, her view
from the hill in the very back of her yard and her extravagant fountain will be
what catches guests' eyes. From a small, poolside garden to acres of color and
delight, Scott has devoted more than 20 years to the development of her yard.
Her evident passion and love for her hobby are what the public should look
forward to this weekend.
This is a wonderful opportunity to tour the gardens of some lovely Bedford NH properties. Bedford is home to some beautiful executive and estate homes and this is a wonderful time of year to show off the gardens.
The tours will take place rain or shine; however, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets
are available at the Bedford town offices, and are $20 each.
All proceeds will go towards the Bedford Women's Club Scholarship Fund and
other charitable organizations.
